The
Defiance line of auto security and keyless entry systems are for our
network of authorized dealers only. If
you do not have a dealer number, call our office to have an
application sent to you. These products only carry a warranty when
installed by an authorized dealer.
We recommend soldering all connections. Test
circuits with computer safe volt/ohm meter. Keep wires at minimum
length and away from all moving parts, linkages, and heat. If you
have questions, stop and call our tech line. The information
described in this manual is for reference only and may change
depending on the vehicle.

Instructions
Control Module
Mount alarm module as high as possible to maximize receiver range.
Keep antenna straight and away from metal and wire harnesses. Secure
with tie wraps. Keep module and all wiring, etc. away from moving
parts, linkages, etc. Do not plug in module until all wiring is
complete.
RED WIRE - 12
VOLT CONSTANT SYSTEM POWER
The red wire with the 15 amp fuse is connected to a constant,
positive (+) 12 volt supply. Do not eliminate fuse holder. Doing so
will void warranty and could cause vehicle damage.
WHITE WIRE -
PARKING LIGHTS
The white wire is a positive output from the on-board light flash
relay. The white wire may be connected to the vehicle's parking
light wire at the headlight switch. Do not connect to headlights as
current draw would be excessive. When used with vehicles that have
separate left and right parking light circuits, you must use 10 amp
diodes or relays. |
